Bio:

Dr Lim Kian Hwa is a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Pantai Hospital Batu Pahat, a member of the Asia’s largest health care group, IHH healthcare.

Dr Lim has vast experience in managing various health issue related to high-risk obstetric problems, reproductive medicine, benign and malignant gynaecological diseases, complicated obstetric and gynaecological surgeries.

Dr Lim has fervid passion in minimally invasive surgeries (keyhole surgeries). He has undergone training in Putrajaya Hospital which is also known as the center of keyhole surgeries in Malaysia and he was honored to be selected as one of the Malaysian delegates in the prestigious Asian Pacific Gynaecological Endoscopy Training workshop at Incheon, Korea.

Dr Lim served as the president in Obstetrical and Gynecological Society Negeri Sembilan Malaysia (POGNS) from year 2019 to year 2021. He is also the advisor of Advanced Obstetrics Ultrasound Course 2019 in collaboration with International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG).

Dr Lim is a profound passion in teaching. He has been appointed as the Honorary Lecturer of International Medical University and as the instructor in numerous workshops.

Dr Lim remains active in medical education and is a certified international examiner for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) UK’s part membership examinations.

Dr Lim is also an active member in Obstetrical and Gynecological Society Malaysia (OGSM) , Gynaecological Endoscopy Society of Malaysia (GESM), and Malaysian Medical Association (MMA).

Dr Lim has special interest in pelvic floor muscle wellness and has been advocating the importance of pelvic floor muscle strengthening programme recently, especially for women after childbirth.

Dr Lim believes that it is very important to promote women health by empowering the women as healthy women are the cornerstones of healthy society.
